Martha Stewart Living told me this:
"Add 14 years to your life!
We've heard it before: lead a healthy life and you'll live longer. But how much longer? A recent study from the University of Cambridge Institute of Public Health provides the answer. Researchers studies more than 20,000 men and women ages 45 to 79, for more than a decade. They identified four habits associated with long life. People who followed all four lived about 14 years longer than those who didn't. (there was more article but I'm skipping to the juicy stuff).
*Keeping physically active, either on the job or in leisure time
*Eating five servings of fruits and vegetables daily
*Drinking moderately, defined broadly in this study as anywhere from one to fourteen servings (a glass of wine, a half pint of beer, or a shot of liquor) per week
*Not smoking"
