I was sick in bed, on Tuesday,
one of the days I needed to help Pete with shop stuff. Pete dropped
Elinor off at momma Tobi's house. She played with Argus and Tobi from 9am-4pm.
When I felt better the next day, I sent Tobi an email saying thanks.
She replied with this "I got to hang out with Elinor solo for about an
hour (she only napped 30
mins and Argus napped 90 minutes or so) and it was so nice. I never
realized that we don't ever get one on one time with other babies. We
folded laundry and read books and giggled about how fuzzy the kitties
are. Loved it! And she's so smart! I showed her a sign once and she had
it. She's about to explode with language. I can't wait to see what these
people have to say about things."
How cool. I needed to drop something off at Tobi's the day later, so while we were on that errand, I asked Tobi what sign she showed E, and E was listening to us as she played, which was proven when Tobi said FIRE (they have a fireplace that is hot), E stopped what she was doing, signed fire, pointed at the fireplace, signed HOT, then went about what she was doing.
How cool. or should I say how hot.
