May 11

wait a minute, I thought May just started.... does anyone else feel this way?

Pete is (still) training for his 24 hour solo race at Spokane on Memorial Day weekend. He has been biking a lot, and fixing his "special" bike a lot. The new one will arrive hopefully Friday, if not, Monday. He's been on the road more than on the dirt... but training none-the-less. We still need to find time for a longer training session. He put in the 60 miles of Stottlemeyer and placed 6th! holy cow! that was pretty neat. the course was tough and somewhat exhausting. (so I've been told). please continue to keep encouraging him to train and do what he loves. thanks for all the support.

I've been promoting a fundraiser, organizing Lost in the Woods, working at the kayak shop, having fun hanging out and exploring with Halsey, and researching what it'll take to become a teacher. busy. wedding stuff is coming a long... and yet it's somewhat on hold. I have my gown and we have the officiant and the wine and a batch of beer that's now bottled. things are looking good!

the weather has taken a change for summer. I did a Waterfront Kayak tour on both Saturday and Sunday. it's been hot and sunny. the garden has been put on hold and I do'nt really like it but we'll do alright. I'm still looking to buy some tomato and bell pepper starts.... they would be a nice addition to the earthy crew.

Andrew,
congrats on finishing another semester! Duluth rules!

Jody,
You've gotta be getting there soon! keep studying!

Chris,
we totally understand that you won't make it out to the wedding. We hope that it all goes well in June. I'd rather have you home resting anyway! we need you around for a while! (Pixie relayed the message to me).

Miriah,
I'm so thankful that things are falling into place for you and your boys. Congrats on getting accepted into school in Anchorage!

And all of you MOMMAs out there and in my life, happy belated Mothers Day. You Rock!

And everyone else, you're still in my thoughts and prayers. lots of love.
