22 1/2 hr race of Rapelje

we were back at Rapelje Mt once again.
what a frickin sweet little town. but the race site is even better since they changed it up this year from last year. The course was longer and yet it was more stimulating from last year. there were several sections where you needed to calculate your moves more causing it to be more difficult. race directors were surprised last year that there were sub hour laps so they lengthened it and wanted it to be about an hour and a half. hence the no going out after nine thirty rule. (elevn to eleven race times). but there were a few swift folks who still pounded out 58 minute laps. the "Energy Legs" team was putting in 1:04 to 1:28 minute laps typically 1 hour and 15 minutes on the fourteen and a half mile course. Pete was putting in about one hour and thirty minute laps. he did as well as he wanted and was hoping to put in a few more laps originally... but after riding the course, he re-adjusted his goal. which was a good idea. it was HOT, DRY and BUGGY.
we survived and now have a few hours at home .... Spencer, Lee, Adam and Pete are sleeping.

tttoooootttttllllleeeeessss :)
