We visited Santa! He was at our favorite coffee shop, Velocity- owned and operated by Joe, Caroline, Agnes and Abraham- one of these last few Saturdays.
Elinor was delightful, and a head turner in her little Christmas dress. Thank you Mark and Cathleen for mailing it. She received many many compliments. Even one from Santa himself!
While Elinor wasn't exactly scared of him, she wasn't best friends either. Every time prior to the visit, we'd talk about Santa (ho ho ho) in a book. I'd show her pictures of him in our paperback Night before Christmas book. I wasn't surprised, when she walked right over to him with a book, crawled up next to him and showed him one of the books from the toy box at the coffee shop. She then realized she was sitting next to the big man himself, and decided to get down. And check in with us for a moment, before scoping him out again. The woman taking photos, took several more for us than others, as we know her, and hence caught many fun moments on film.
These two are my favorite.
