Friday July 13th

It has been thunderstorms and lightning all day. Until a few days ago, I don't remember ever being in a lightning/thunderstorm here in PT. The ferries and other shipping boat have been blowing their fog horns all day and into the night. It's pretty crazy. Elinor woke up one of the nights and was watching it with me for a while, then we woke Pete up too for a family experience.

On Thursday night we drove up to Bellingham for an outdoor backyard movie at our friend Liz's house. PHENOMENAL! They showed "Super 8", a PG 13 movie told to me as "it's like E.T. of this generation"... which I suppose in the end it was a little. a lot more scary than E.T.  anyway, we camped out in our new tent (purchased in Cody at a fantastic deal). Fun fun. It rained some overnight. and our tent is now drying in the living room.


Pete left for Seattle with Sarah's sister Jen, Jason, and Sarah(Jason's gf) for a little bicycle ride to Portland called the Seattle to Portland. The three of them (Jen, Jason n Pete) will do it in two days rather than one like some of the fasties. wooee! I'll make him post on it upon his return home.

I'm going to have a beer with Deb later tonight. The rest of my weekend plans include: Farmers market, swing down to see Martie at the kayak shop, then hang out with Sarah on Saturday night. Sunday will be a movie festival for bikes, and late tea with Pixie (can't go biking since Eli is with me).

Montana, Skyler and I played in the backyard at Laura's house over a week ago and Sarah snapped some shots. It was good to run around a bit!
