Pete and I successfully left town and returned. wahoo.
And Ashke kept the house tidy while we were gone! no raging keggers that we can tell!
It was phenomenal to get a way, albeit for bike reasons, and even so it was nice to get home last night. We drove a lot, we slept a little, we talked a lot, we ate some good food, we saw some amazing places and we mountain biked some sweet trails.
I saw some good signs along the way too:
Tortoise.
Turkey.
Deer.
Antelope.
Elk.
Cow.
Bull.
Donkey.
Tractor.
Sow with Cub.
We drove from PT, Washington through WA, OR, ID to NV then stopped in Las VegasWe made it to Interbike on Wednesday morning and saw everything we needed to see. There's lots of stuff in the bike world! Let alone, Las Vegas.
We found one of Pete's new top 5 favorite ever back-roads.
We stopped in Minden/Lake Tahoe, NV for a bike ride and to see my boss’s house (sleep in a bed!). We biked at Tahoe, Nevada.
We down-hilled at Downieville, California...for an awesome mountain bike shuttle/ride, we drove a ways afterwards and slept along side the road in northern CA. I’ve never been to CA!
We drove up I-5 to Portland to have dinner with our two old friends, after dinner we drove home in 4 hours and made it back at ten pm. We postponed our trip to Bend Oregon in order to see our friends Mike and Sarah and their already sitting by herself little one Sola.
Monday at midnight to ten pm on Sunday; I think about it now and it was a whirlwind!!!
We have many thoughts and what not going through our little pea-brains. We're doing the best we can and we love it.
i can't believe its nearly October!
