because i have more time between shifts, and pete has the car i will sit online and blog a little while i'm in my mid "shift" break. the kayak shop stuff is going okay. i'm trying to advertise enough for this little town to manifest our kayak lessons in the pool. we're not using the newspaper and we are using fliers around town, online networking(that i'm putting some together) and by directly contacting some of our former clients. i like it, i'd just like to see more people lined up! it's a sweet deal.
the noodle shop is slowly lining things out. it's good. actually. it's a great place to work. i love my coworkers, boss, shift schedule and many of the customers.
putting my jobs aside, i think, with everything pete is up to will come together soon. i am looking forward when it's a for real go and that we can talk, plan and know that it's going to happen. but the next week or two will really be a big test for pete and his co-s. and me.
i met a gal who will bring me boarding/skiing. how cool. we'll carpool to some of the local downhill resorts (local meaning two plus hours away!) :( ride and ski our little tootsies off, then carpool home. the only bummer of some of it will be the price, which are usually worth it, it's just too expensive almost! we'll see how i feel after a day of riding under my belt.
I am so suprised it's already nearly December. i'll be even more surpirsed next week when it really is december. alas, it's still merry november. and only the 24th at that! :) all of those end of the month bills/start of the month bills are coming up. bugger. anyone interested in helping pete and i build a house and in return we'll help you build one? that's a good way to save on rent! pay to own...
looks like i'll be having thanksgiving at karyn's place. which will be a blast. pete and i, as his assistant, will be in charge of desserts. yum! if possible, we're in charge of three! yippee! i'm sure we'll blog about it afterwards. and add a photo or two.
my friend Grace is going to have her baby any day now! and it'll be such a welcome happy surprise. is it a boy? is it a girl? how will husband Geoff and dog henry take it? i'm stoked for her and her family!
and now i'm getting hungry and should wander around somewhere to find a bite of food before the dinner shift. i hope that y'all are doing well.
send out an email sometime.
