the land of the scots has been good to us so far. only one rainy day of cycling! wow. we just finished day seven of our cycle tour. for those following us along the map, we started in \edinburgh, and rode to st andrews the first day. next night was in arbroath. then newtonhill (just south of aberdeen). then ellon. then banff. then forres. then here! we are in need of a day off. but our schedule says push on... so what's important? we'll let you know some other day.
so we have seen: castles, kilts, museums, highland cattle, seals, seashells, heaps of tea, dophins, quiet country roads, busy roads, teeny cars that get 50 plus miles to the gallon, crazy people who are not only hip and in style but smoking and talking in half english, half scottish and the further north we go half gaelic. loads of fun!
