what a great Thanksgiving break it has been. there still are three more days to it, but I finally have some down time to think and be by myself. Aside from D, Nate, Pixie and the dogs -Tibet and Ashke, I really am alone with my thoughts. I figured that I’d blogg a few of them. It’s almost December already. wow. but here is how the Turkey break has gone so far: I got home on last Friday night. Saturday i unpacked my stuff from the summer in Wisdom into a closet then shut the door. Pete and I went to a friends house (Seth) for a “friends thanksgiving dinner” on Saturday night. then we hung out together on Sunday and went to Bridger for a little “back country” hiking and skiing/boarding. I tried out my new tele set-up. We then ate lasagna and shared two bottles of wine. on Monday morning at 6am Sarah, Rene and dog Montana showed up for a thanksgiving break visit. That day we went up Bridger Bowl’s Apron for a good snowboard and ski trip. Tuesday, Pixie was doing two interviews, so we, plus Nate and Luke, went up to a bowl in Hardscrabble area for another good day of back country. Tuesday night we had a good dinner, sauna-ed, watched “Wall-E” and Pixie showed up late. Wednesday morning Dad called me in the AM and then all of us- Pete, Pixie, Rene, Sarah, Nate, D, myself, two dogs- all piled into the Yota 4 Runner for another day at Hardscrabble. All of our days were fun and good shit. Thursday was a morning of prepping food, calling families, walking the dogs and enjoying our time together. We had dinner around 4:30 and had a whole hoodlum of people; they included Shelly, Jason, Danielle, Harlan, Matt, Nate, Alan, Sarah, Pixie, Rene, Elizabeth, Seth, Pete and myself. After dinner we shared a beer then went out bowling- per Danielle’s family tradition. Pumpkin pie, whipping cream and ice-cream followed and closed our fun day. Friday, Pete went back to work, and we did a slow morning of packing the car, eating lunch out, going for a hike to check out a climbing area, and then eating a small dinner and going to Norris Hotspring for a good long soak. Sarah and Rene left afterwards to drive back to good ole Minney. D’s brother Nate flies home this arvo, so today I get Pixie all to myself. Who knows what we’ll end up doing. ... maybe a band tonight at a bar and pixie will head home tomorrow morning so I get Peter Rabbit all to myself tomorrow. What a week long turkey break!
