.... five inches of snow! its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. but the only bummer is knowing this will happen about two hundred more times this winter. but maybe that's not a bummer. we're on our way up Sypes Canyon for a snowshoe adventure. little does the dog know what's in store for him today. we'll let you know later today what fun things we saw and did.... fill in the blank....

THE HIKE! it definitely wasn't a snowshoe hike but it was great nonetheless. while taking a rest at the ridge we saw seven deer. three big bucks, two does and two fawns. it was pretty sweet since they were two hundred yards away. Ashke didn't know they were there due to the direction of the wind but when he did finally see them he just sat and watched. I bet we could teach him how to go hunting and his duty would be pulling some of the carcass... but maybe not, we should look into that before we get carried away. aside from that, the weather was great and the snow glorious. it was a really fun adventure.
