Strange how things fall into place.

I have had my eye on this beautiful flower for a little while now. She came over on Saturday to visit and so we could talk a little. The conversation lead to the climbing trip she was leaving on in a few hours. Next thing I know I am in a two door Ford Tempo with her and two other people headed for the Black Hills of SD. We drove for 9 hours straight the last 7 hours where mine yipee.

When we arrived out came the French press and my gear and while others in the group had thoughts of their sleeping bags in their heads my mind said get on that rock. We climbed for the next 12 hours. Fill the engine with food, find a place to lay down our sleeping bags, and the sun couldn't rise soon enough. 6am arrived and being the early riser I ventured up to watch the sun rise from a top a rock out cropping near camp. The best situation; my thoughts, complete silence, the majestic ness of nature, and the warmth of the sun scrambling its way over the horizen.

Cram the breakfast, load the gear, and start climbing again. 9 hours later back in the car and on the way back to the real world. Arriving in Avon at 4:30 am. Fall asleep with a beautiful flower, awake bike home. How could a trip be any better then that.

Peace out
Pete
